Home Care Providers Now Eligible to Enroll as Choices for Care Providers
The Department of Disabilities, Aging and Independent Living’s Adult Services Division (ASD) has just released a new application for non-medical home care providers to apply to enroll as Medicaid providers of Choices for Care services, including personal care, respite and companionship provided in the home. Historically, only designated Home Health Agencies have been Choices for Care providers of home care, but due to Vermont’s workforce shortages, more providers are needed to meet the needs of Vermonters and provide program participants with more options for care. ASD is happy to be able to now accept applications from new providers and will follow the certification process to enroll those providers who meet the Home Care Provider Standards.
