Annoucement: RFI for Supporting Vermont Nursing Facilities

The Department of Disabilities, Aging & Independent Living is pleased to announce that a Request for Information (RFI) has been posted to “solicit creative and innovative proposals from vendors to provide training and support to Vermont nursing homes”. Results of the RFI will assist the Department in preparing the next step of soliciting Request for Proposals (RFP) for the delivery of services starting in 2019.

The State has identified needs in the areas of:

• Best practices in: a. Dementia care b. Behavioral supports c. Daily oral care

• Technical assistance to individual nursing homes for the review and refinement of the CMS required Quality Assurance & Performance Improvement (QAPI) programs

• Development of a system of communication and support between the nursing homes

Vendors are encouraged to provide proposals to meet any or all of the identified areas. The closing date is August 24th, 2018. Please refer to the official RFI posting on the Vermont Department of Economic Development website for detailed instructions.
