World Elder Abuse Awarenss Day (WEAAD) is June 15th!

05 June 2017

Join us in commemorating World Elder Abuse Awareness Day (WEAAD) June 15th.

Every year an estimated 5 million, or 1 in 10, older Americans are victims of elder abuse, neglect, or exploitation. World Elder Abuse Awareness Day (WEAAD) – commemorated on June 15th every year – is an opportunity for everyone to take action to protect seniors by raising awareness about elder abuse. To report potential abuse, neglect or exploitation of a vulnerable adult in Vermont, file a report to APS online here or call toll free: 1-800-564-1612.
