March is National Nutrition Month®!

Did you know that over 20,000 older Vermonters face the threat of hunger?  The Older Americans Act nutrition programs help alleviate hunger and malnutrition for millions of vulnerable elders across the country.  In 2016 over 800,000 nutritious meals were delivered to the homes of older Vermonters, helping to keep them healthy and independent in their homes.

The theme for 2017 National Nutrition Month  is "Put Your Best Fork Forward", which acts as a reminder that each bite counts. For more information about National Nutrition Month go to or contact your local Area Agency on Aging to learn about events in your area.
