The Department of Disabilities, Aging and Independent Living is excited to announce the opening of Memory Care at Allen Brook, a licensed Assisted Living Residence conveniently located in Williston, Vermont. Designed to meet best-practice models for memory care, the residence provides a safe and welcoming environment that feels like home, with 14 apartments affordable to households on Medicaid and who participate in the Choices for Care program. Memory Care at Allen Brook's round-the-clock staff are trained in the Best Friends™ approach to memory care. On-site amenities include specially designed common areas, a therapeutic sensory garden with a stone fountain, secure walking loops, meals from their Vermont Fresh Network kitchen, medication assistance, on-site telehealth, and housekeeping and transportation services.
